01Our approach
Everything happens on your device. unClick scores live camera frames for composition, expression, and stability using the on-device Ground Glass Engine. Nothing about the scene is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
We designed unClick so that the most sensitive parts of using a camera, the images themselves and the analysis of them, never leave your iPhone. There is no account to create, and there is no cloud where your photos are processed.
02What we do not collect
To be direct about it, unClick does not collect or store any of the following on our servers:
- Your photos or video.
- Facial data, expression scores, or any biometric template.
- Audio recordings of your voice.
- Your contacts, location, or device identifiers used for tracking.
The scoring that decides when to fire the camera is computed on your iPhone, used in the moment, and discarded. It is never sent anywhere.
03Camera and photos
unClick needs camera access to do the one thing it does. Live frames are analyzed on device to decide the right moment to capture. When a shot is taken, it is saved to your photo library through the standard iOS system, the same place your other photos live.
We do not receive a copy of any photo unClick takes. Photos you choose to share are handled by whatever app or service you share them with, under their terms, not ours.
04Microphone and voice
Voice control is optional and requires microphone permission, which you grant in iOS. When enabled, unClick listens locally for a small set of commands such as "start", "stop", and "take it".
Voice recognition runs on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio, and we do not use it to build any profile of you.
05Subscriptions and purchases
unClick is free to download and requires an auto-renewing subscription to access its features. Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your payment details.
Apple shares limited, aggregated information with us, such as the number of active subscriptions and trial conversions, so we can run the business. This information is not tied to your identity. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
06Diagnostics
If you opt in, unClick may send anonymous, aggregated crash and performance diagnostics so we can fix bugs and keep the app stable. These reports contain no photos, no audio, and no information that identifies you.
We do not use Google Analytics or third-party advertising trackers. You can turn diagnostics off at any time in the app's settings.
07Permissions you control
Every permission unClick uses is requested by iOS and can be changed by you at any time in Settings on your iPhone:
- Camera. Required for capture.
- Microphone. Optional, for voice commands.
- Photos. To save the shots unClick takes.
Revoking a permission may limit what the app can do, but it will not send us any data either way.
08Children
unClick is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, this is largely moot, but we state it plainly for the record.
09Changes to this policy
If we change how unClick handles data, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use unClick after a change means you accept the updated policy.
